Historic Train Cars

1944 Diesel Whitcomb Locomotive - Donated to the City by Mobile Corporation in 1987. Does not run. Has been on display but not open to the public. Exterior has been painted from time to time but no other repairs made in over 10 years.

1916 Pullman Passenger car - Has not been open to the public in 20+ years. Much of the interior floors & wood is rotted. Holes in floor, many windows broken or missing, has been broken into repeatedly.

Both cars donated to the City in 1980s for use by the museum but too costly to restore and/or maintain.
